George has been surfing for 34+ years. As the head instructor, he began teaching surfing in March 1997, and is the owner of the Florida’s Space Coast’s 2nd oldest and 1st partial day surf school/camp. He is a surf lesson professor, and has surf industry experience; in sales, design, expert 24hr surfboard repair services ( considered by some to be one of the top 10 repairers in the world), board construction, surf education, and coaching. When not teaching he is busy with his Surfguys Pepper Sauce line, creating, sampling, and distributing Surfguys Mango/Habanero, Red Habanero, and Jalapeno formulas. Safety is his biggest priority. His goal is your success, and wants to see everyone have fun. He will meet and exceed your expectations when it comes to the sport he loves. He started going to Costa Rica in 1985 when it was less traveled. He will be your head guide in Costa Rica and handle all your requests, questions and needs. He is going to start surfing tours to Mexico sometime later this year.
Claude Codgen grew up surfing in Cocoa Beach in the early 60’s with the likes of Gary Propper, and Mike Tabling. CC competed against other 60’s surfers such as Corky Carroll, Dewey Weber, David Nuuiwha, Nat Young, Bruce Valluzi, and Wayne Lynch.
He went to San Diego in 1966 for the world contest, Puerto Rico in 1968, for the world championships, and went to Australia in 1970 for the world contest at Bell’s Beach which was won by Rolf Arness.
In 1966 he signed a contract with Con Surfboards and had his own CC Rider signature model. In 1970 he left Con and began Sunshine Surfboards in Cocoa Beach, and shapes boards for many current customers. He surfs most everyday and will be your Costa Rica Adventure surf partner.
Mikey DeTemple grew up in Long Island, NY and began surfing at an early age. Mikey moved to Florida with his family in 1999. He competed in local amateur competitions, until turning professional in 2002.
He’s been competing in Longboard competition all over the world since joining the Pro Longboard circuit. Mikey lives on a Longboard, but has been seen on shortboards and fishes in different types of surf. His movements are flawless and smooth and represent the new longboat style. Mikey now is a film maker and is on his 2nd surfing film which is being showed at many locations around the globe. Check out Sights and Sounds on his facebook page.

Tyler grew up surfing in Florida at Ocean Ave and Sebastian Inlet, and began surfing when he was 6yrs old. He currently attends UNF and teaches with us during the summer months.
He was the co-captain of the Mel-Hi Surf team when they finished 9th in the NSSA nationals in 2010. When not teaching or going to school he enjoys surfing, fishing, and just about everything to do with the ocean. He currently is the co-captain of the UNF surf team and is sponsored by Catalyst Surf Shop, BAT surfboards, Tribu Flipflops, and hopes to make it back to the NSSA championships with UNF.
Zak started surfing at 10 years of age when his family relocated to Florida and he hasn't stopped since. He attend BCC and is studying courses with a degree in Civil Engineering in mind.
When not surfing, he likes spearfishing, diving, playing basketball
Ben has been surfing since he was 15. He has been to Costa Rica many times to surf and visit family. He has worked as a surf shop manager at the Ulitimate Sports Warehouse until it closed in 2010.
He can be found sufing at the Inlet, Ocean Ave, Paradise Beach and all over our area, when he's not helping his grandparents with their small orange grove in Winter Haven Fl.
Shannon started surfing at 13 and has been at it ever since. She now attends BCC and is studying courses for a marketing degree. She is planning a carrer in the surf clothing industry.
Surfing to me isn't competition at all, just go out and love to have a good time! Shannon says. You can find her surfing in Cocoa Beach, Inlet, or wherever the surf is best.
When she's not at the beach, she enjoys fishing, skating, soccer, and art.
